The first and second workshop of the series were held in Colombo and Kandy and the third is scheduled to be held in Colombo on June 29 again, a Senior ICTA Official told the Daily News.
Accordingly, the main objective of this workshop series is mainly to deliver knowledge required to initiate, lead and manage e-Government projects within their organizations.
Each workshop will cover at least one or more combinations of policies, concepts and strategies, knowledge of technologies/trends, ICT applications for meaningful development, Common ICT frameworks, standards, Public Private Partnership, Information security and privacy, e-Government and e-Commerce and Legal Reforms.
e-Government is the use of technology to facilitate the operation of Government and the disbursement of government information and services. It deals heavily with Internet applications.
