National eGovernment Strategies Ltd (NeGSt), has said all is set for the deployment of eGovernment initiatives in the country.

NeGSt was established as a public/private partnership, to facilitate implementation of the Nigerian eGovernment project.

It was officially launched by President Olusegun Obasanjo in 2004.

NeGSt Executive Vice Chairman, Dr Olu Agunloye, at the weekend said his office had put necessary structures in place for the take-off of the project.

According to him, “we have held concession building sessions where technicalities on the form and implementation of the project should take off without hurting, but taking advantage of existing structures,'' he said.

Agunloye saidNEGST had met with alliance partners, to determine the type of partnership to take on board the project.

He said the project had presented “a proof of concept'' to Obasanjo and the Economic Team at a presidential retreat where it was endorsed.

Agunloye said the project would kick-off with the presentation of eGovernment solutions to Nigerians.

“The solutions would revolutionise the way and manner we do things and enhance efficient service delivery. “These solutions include eRegistration, Telemedicine, and eHealth that would avail both rural and urban dwellers the opportunity of accessing quality healthcare services.

“With the eHealth solution, you can be attended to and diagnosed by a consultant, no matter where you are in the country,'' he said.
