Government business and all other transactions with the public are to be digitalised through the eForm initiative to facilitate efficiency and effective service delivery.

The Head of Service of the Federation, Alhaji Yayale Ahmed, made this known in a circular issued to all Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs) in Abuja.

The circular directed all MDAs to forward to the National eGovernment Strategies Ltd (NeGSt) all soft and hard copy samples of all categories of government forms.

Ahmed said that the eForm initiative would be applicable to all government establishments and would place non-classified government forms in public domain.

“It will also make them accessible for on-line downloads, completion, submission and feedback.

“NeGSt has set up a functional integration platform for the MDAs to deploy the Public Service Network, National Bureau of Statistics Network and the Integrated Fiscal and Economic Management Information System, as well as the eNaira for tracking all electronic payments by CBN and MDAs,'' it added.

Commenting on the development, NeGSt, the Executive Vice Chairman, Dr Olu Agunloye, said that the initiative would fast track the implementation of the eGovernment projects in the country.

Agunloye said that the project which had suffered several set backs due to the non-availability of reliable and accurate data would be jump started with the eForm initiative.
