TRCN e-Registration initiative will allow all existing professional teachers, new teachers requiring new registration with TRCN to enter and update their records in the TRCN database from anywhere and at anytime.

In his remark the director general of the council, Musa Ciwar said the online TRCN eRegistration system makes it convenient for all teachers to know their registration status, update status and make payments to TRCN using diverse channels such as banks, cyber cafes, e-Kisoks, GSM phones and other internet access points. He said "in this era of information and Communication technology no teacher will suffer before being register with the council"

He enjoined the teachers to support the council in providing value added service for their benefits, saying that Nigerian teachers will not be left behind in ICT.

Minister of science and technology Professor Tuner T Isoun said the federal government is determined to exploit the opportunities provided by ICT, stressing that over 11Billion has been spent by various Ministries and agencies to provide and upgrade their ICT facilities.

Represented by Mr. Uche O. a director in the ministry, Isoun said the main objective of the e-government project is to make government services easily accessible, affordable, transparent and accountable.

Education Minister, Dr. Chinwe Obaji challenged Nigerian teachers to accept the global transformation brought about by ICT, saying "We have to become digital in culture before we become part of the global community.

She assured the teachers that no one will regrets the new programme, urging them to make effective utilization of the facilities.
