On Monday, the issue and renewal of provincial health cards joins vital statistics as a public service for residents of Saskatchewan. This follows the transfer of health cards from the Ministry of Health to eHealth Saskatchewan that occurred in early January.
Vital Statistics transferred to eHealth in mid-2013, moving from its former Park Street location to physically join eHealth and health card services.
“eHealth is pleased to offer counter service for residents of Saskatchewan looking to renew, replace or apply for their health services card,” eHealth Saskatchewan CEO Susan Antosh said in a media release. “Offering the provincial health card is a great fit with eHealth because we have already been providing counter service and management of vital statistics. Residents can now visit the same location for all of these services.”
All services are available online, by phone, and now, in person at one central location at 2130 11th Ave., between the Bay and the Regina Transit office. Customers can also go online anytime to renew, replace, request or change their health services card information.
People can visit www.ehealthsask.ca to order birth, death or marriage certificates, or to apply for and replace a health services card, and to report any changes to the family status or address associated with a health card.
eHealth Saskatchewan is a Treasury Board Crown Corporation responsible for the implementation of the provincial electronic health record. eHealth co-ordinates, implements and maintains key electronic health information systems in many public health care organizations.
