Egypt’s MCIT said the meeting was in line with the framework of implementing MCIT strategy and pursuing consultations to activate ministries cooperation and integration system, resulting in a number of national projects where ICT tools can play a major role in improving performance. Several issues were discussed during the meeting, like creating a network between offices and governorates and also Arab States before the end of the current year.
Establishing a national information system for the job market to conform to international standards, was also part of the talks. The ministers discussed ways to help youth join the job market through providing the required technology training, under the umbrella of “Training for Hiring Initiative” aiming to train and provide jobs for 20 thousand people during the coming six months.
The ICT Minister confirmed that the hard work would lead to progress and later, full integration between ministries. He said meetings were being held with various ministers to discuss the benefits of ICT in State services, such as the ambulance system, the National Network for Citizen Health, education, justice and agriculture.
