As part of its focus on e-governance, the Ministry of Manpower (MoM) is conducting a week-long survey at its headquarters to streamline services.

This survey is conducted every year to know about the departments most visited by employees and employers and how e-governance can reduce paper work.

“Our aim is to reach as many people as possible. We want to reduce the number of people visiting our headquarters in Muscat for availing services.

They should be in a position to avail all services at the click of a button. “Through this survey, we will know footfall in the ministry departments. This will help streamline our services,” Saeed bin Nasser al Saadi, Advisor to H E Sheikh Abdullah bin Nasser bin Abdullah al Bakri, Minister of Manpower, said.

This is the third year in a row that the ministry is conducting this survey, he said. As part of the survey, visitors are asked their name, the departments they are visiting and purpose of their visit. “Through this survey, we will get to know the number of people visiting each department.

“We hope to encourage more people to use our portal to expedite work. Our earlier surveys have shown that e-services have reduced the number of visits to the ministry,” Saadi said.
