Both discussed ways to boost Omani-Estonian relations in the fields of e-government services, improving the business environment and increasing trade exchange between the two countries.
Sunaidy commended the efforts made by Estonian experts over the training of their Omani counterparts through the one-stop station project, implemented by the Ministry of Commerce and Industry in coordination with the Information Technology Authority (ITA) and six other government agencies along with Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry. The Minister of Commerce and Industry was briefed on the small and medium enterprises in Estonia, the Estonian Development Fund and other entrepreneurship projects. He also met with the Minister of Foreign Trade and Entrepreneurship, Minister of Education and Research of the of Estonia and officials in the Insurance Fund for jobseekers.
He also visited Estonian Nortel Company specialised in software development and is currently working on the implementation of the comprehensive development project of one-stop station. Sunaidy was also briefed on the latest developments of the project, and pledged to develop information technology to speed up trade transactions.
