Aiming to provide a good opportunity for the private sector organizations to join the competition in the Sultan Qaboos Award for Excellence in eGovernment, the Award committee decided to postpone the registration stage to August 2014.

The government sector entities will compete in 9 categories, whereas the private sector's big organizations will compete in two categories, namely: Best Public Mobile eService and Best Public eService. Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (SMEs) are to compete, for the first time, in two categories: Best eSolution and Public Mobile E-Service.

Private Sector

The private sector's big organizations can participate with only one project under an individual category and the project maturity should be more than 6 months. The previous year winning projects are not eligible to enter the current HM Award and applicants must provide public eServices within the following fields only: Health, Education, Electricity, Finance, Water, Public transportation, Telecommunication, and Environment.

  2. Project maturity should be more than 6 months.

  3. Every SME can participate with only one project under each category: eSolution or Public Mobile E-Service.
