HE Dr Abdulmunim Bin Mansour Al Hasani, Minister of Information, today launched the ministry’s new website and the e-office for employees marking the first package of systems, which included a number of advanced applications to create a paperless e-environment in the ministry.

Nasser Bin Humaid Al Khayari, Director General of Administrative and Financial Affairs at the ministry and Head of the Digital Shift Plan, said that the ministry’s site is an addition to the e-Oman society systems until achieving the prospective e-government. The website will allow the ministry’s employees to process their transaction from anywhere – within or outside the Sultanate.

At the launching ceremony, Hasani said, “this is the launching of the first package and more packages will be launched later.”

He pointed out that the website has been designed by Omani youths in collaboration with the contractor, adding that the new website is an open book for the Sultanate of Oman and will be a valuable source of information about the different fields. He said the launch of the new website comes in a bid to meet the needs of employees who would benefit from the services rendered by it. The new website provides an overview about the ministry.
