In recognition of its use of modern technologies and commitment to excellence, the Ministry of Manpower’s website has been honoured with the Silver Award for Best Web Design at the 8th edition of the Oman Web Awards held at Al Bustan Palace under the patronage of Hamood bin Sangour al Zadjali, Executive President of Central Bank of Oman. Commenting on this achievement, Raed Hamed al Kiyumi, head of the Internet Application Department at the ministry, said: “We feel proud and honoured in getting this recognition.
This award reflects the technological development and our ongoing commitment in delivering excellence in our endeavours”. The victory came as result of the efforts and endeavours of the ministry to boost government vision of transformation to e-government, he added. He said the website design matched international standards in order to cater to all customer needs. He revealed that the website includes hyperlinks for social networks of the ministry to take an overview of news and photos related to the ministry’s activities.
