Paying for parking is about to get a lot easier in Dubai.
Tollgate operator Salik has teamed up with Parkonic, the UAE’s largest private parking operator, to bring parking solutions to numerous parking sites across Dubai.
Parkonic is set to collaborate with Salik and use its eWallet system across 107 locations, modernising how UAE residents and visitors will pay for parking.
The areas where Parkonic will be operational include Central Park, Global Village and The Beach – JBR in Dubai. Arc Towers, Marsa Al Bateen and Sheikh Zayed Festival in Abu Dhabi. Al Suhub, Al Qasba, Heart of Sharjah, Khorfakkan Beach and Majaz Park P1 in Sharjah and Umbrella Beach in Fujairah.
Starting in early 2025, Salik’s eWallet will be available at approximately 135,000 parking spaces across the UAE, making it easier and more convenient to pay for parking.
Ibrahim Sultan Al Haddad, CEO of Salik explained that the collaboration will enhance parking experiences nationwide, creating an efficient payment system that contributes to the UAE’s smart city initiatives.
Parkonic is known for its AI-driven parking systems and by combining these technologies with Salik’s eWallet, the partnership aims to transform the parking experience, making it faster and easier for users.
