Commenting on the launch, Al Naimi said: 'This is a significant step forward in terms of easing the procedures of legal cases of the UAE government. Linking all local and federal ministries and institutions together facilitates the day-to-day follow up on legal cases and enables concerned authorities to be continuously updated with the required statistics, leading to better and faster processing. All information regarding any legal case in terms of nature, reasons, dates and original location of the legal issue can be found on the site, which will directly lead to thorough documentation and faster settlements.'
Al Zarooni noted that in its endeavor towards a high performance government through E-government and other projects, MoFI established this site with a view to raise the efficiency of the legal department in following up on the government's legal issues.
'However, in order to have a successful linkage between all involved parties, federal and local ministries and institutions and mainly legal departments should offer technical training for employees to enable them to operate within the new system,' Al Zarooni added.
The E-Government project has been designed in such a way to allow the government officials responsible for any related project to implement the programs and systems in structured 'wave' stages, whereby each wave has its own milestones and benchmarks. The initiative was introduced as a tool to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the UAE Federal Government and is a key component in sustaining the country's competitiveness.
