Dubai Tourism & Commerce Marketing Department (DTCM) has recently started offering advanced eServices as part of its move to be an active player in the Dubai eGovernment initiative. The DTCM portal, which receives over 130,000 hits per day (3.9 million hits average per month), now has enhanced visibility through a link on the Dubai eGovernment portal. Its key features include quick access to information, virtual tours that provide online tour of Dubai’s attractions and live cameras. The DTCM website features a direct link to Dubai eGovernment to allow visitors to access services of other departments.

The eComplaint facility assists Internet users in lodging complaints against DTCM or another Dubai-based establishment, with a facility to track the status of complaints. The other innovative feature is the electronic One Stop Information Centre (e-OSIC) which allows the public to email their complaints and receive replies online.

“DTCM shares the objectives and goals of Dubai eGovernment and we were among the first departments to appreciate this leading initiative and work towards implementing measures that would make us ready for integration with the eGovernment portal,” said Khaled Ahmed bin Suleim, General Manager, DTCM. “Our integration with eGovernment portal will enable us to add value to our existing services and make them more interactive through the use of their advanced systems. Being part of the Government Information Network (GIN), we can be assured of higher speed, reliability and security. We are delighted to support and be part of Dubai eGovernment’s leading edge platforms which are set to considerably enhance the delivery of eServices to both visitors and residents.”

“Dubai Tourism and Commerce Marketing is a key Government department that is driving Dubai’s aspirations to be one of the biggest tourism destinations in the world, and has attained a high degree of sophistication,” said Salem Al-Shair, Director eServices, Dubai eGovernment. “The proactive manner in which DTCM has responded in joining the eGovernment portal is commendable and we look forward to exciting new features to be added to the website as Dubai eGovernment enters into a new phase in which most public services will be available online.”
