Transforming Government since 2001
Becomes 16th government department to join the unified eGovernment call centre 700040000.

Dubai eGovernment has announced that the Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing (DTCM) has become the 16th government department to join the AskDubai service, an initiative that facilitates interaction between Dubai government and its public through a single point of contact.

Salem Al Shair, eServices Director, Dubai eGovernment, said, “We are glad that DTCM has joined the AskDubai service, especially at a time when the tourism industry in the emirate is at an all-time high. The AskDubai service will serve as a reliable source of information for tourists and residents in Dubai who want to find out specific details about business or leisure activities in Dubai.

Sumaya Karam, Director, One Stop Information Centre at DTCM said, “By joining Dubai eGovernment’s AskDubai channel all tourists and the general public can not only find out about other government services but also vital information which they need. This includes hotels, special offers, shopping centres, parks, restaurants and the year round events calendar, as well as embassies and consulates in the UAE. With Dubai witnessing a remarkable influx of visitors year after year, we expect services like AskDubai to prove extremely helpful.”

AskDubai is a unified, bilingual (Arabic/English) contact centre connecting to government departments in Dubai. It integrates key features of Customer Relationship Management, which has become a crucial component in many IT-enabled customer care services. AskDubai utilizes industry-leading technologies that ensure each call gets immediate attention from an agent or an automated voice response system.

Besides DTCM, the government agencies that have joined the AskDubai service include Dubai Police, Dubai Municipality, Department of Economic Development, Dubai Customs, Dubai Land Department, Dubai Chamber, Department of Health and Medical Services, Dubai Airport Free Zone Authority, Department of Civil Aviation, Dubai Civil Defence, Awqaf and Minors Affairs Foundation (AMAF), Dubai Public Prosecution, Dubai Civil Aviation, Dubai Autism Centre, Dubai Islamic Affairs & Charitable Activities Department and Dubai eGovernment.
