Information Affairs Ministry’s Undersecretary, Abdulrahman Mohammed Bahar, has reviewed technical cooperation with the Information and e-Government Authority (IGA) on re-engineering the Ministry’s electronic procedures and services, developing its technical projects and protecting its information systems, in addition to enhancing cooperation in the field of electronic systems.

While chairing the joint technical meeting, along with IGA’s Acting Deputy CEO for Electronic Transformation, Dr. Zakaroya Ahmed Al-Khaja, in the presence of the Information Affairs Ministry’s Assistant Undersecretary for Technical Affairs, as well as directors and officials from both sides, Bahar lauded IGA’s efforts to provide government departments with integrated and advanced services and projects and enhance the efficiency of information systems and networks, praising its contributions to consolidating Bahrain’s leading e-government status at the international level.

The meeting focused on mechanisms of cooperation between the Information Affairs Ministry and Information e-Government Authority in developing and facilitating electronic procedures, transactions and services, and building technical and human capabilities in this field.

It also discussed the provision of a joint data base, the activation of the Official Gazette subscriptions, as well as other fields that contribute to ensuring the infrastructure and institutional complementarily regarding information and communication technology and electronic systems in the kingdom.
