The Ministry of Health has won a key award for best Government-run electronic website.
Health Minister Faeqa bint Said Al-Saleh was presented with the prize during the eGovernment Excellence Award ceremony, which was held under the patronage of Deputy Prime Minister and Chairman of the Supreme Committee for Information and Communication Technology (SCICT) Shaikh Mohammed bin Mubarak Al-Khalifa.
She expressed pride at the outstanding prize, paying tribute to the wise leadership for supporting the sector of information technology so as to enhance the standard of services provided to citizens and keep abreast of cutting edge technical trends in advanced countries.
She commended the efforts of the Health Ministry’s officials which yielded the outstanding prize for best website in recognition of advanced e-services.
According to latest statistics, more than 450,000 internet users surfed the Ministry of Health webpage – most of whom fall in the 25-34 age category.
