Beneficiaries of the Information and e-Government Authority (iGA), and its social media accounts' followers have massively interacted with the authority’s live blog, InstaLive, and the national portal, bahrain.bh.

iGA Chief Executive, Mohammed Ali Al-Qaed asserted that InstaLive, being among the latest social media trends, was launched by the iGA in line with the directives of His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa to intensify direct communication and interaction between the citizens and officials.

He added that the iGA had used the latest techniques to interact with the citizens, being a means that ensures easy and direct interaction with the largest number of users, particularly youth.

Themed “e-Services and e-Transformation Projects during 2017’, the discussion on InstaLive was enriched by the e-participants’ suggestions, questions and remarks, he said, adding that the customers’ remarks were referred to the relevant iGA’s departments to reply to them and address the shortcomings, if there are any.

Al-Qaed said that the live blog was launched on August 2, deactivated on August 22 and may be activated anew whenever need arises, adding that the public may continue sending their suggestions on the topics they would like to discuss via the “Tawassel” application which is available in iGA’s applications store, Bahrain.bh/apps.

It is worth noting that iGA’s CEO had directly interacted with the public through the live broadcast via InstaLive on Instagram on August 2, and he responded spontaneously and directly to the remarks, feedback and suggestions of 400 followers on the authority’s e-services.

The blog remained active for two weeks, and achieved 4,200 views and 70 comments.
