The Undersecretary for Justice Affairs in the Ministry of Justice, Islamic Affairs and Endowments, Khalid Hassan Ajaji, said the ministry in cooperation with the Informatics and E-Government Authority (EGA) has broadened the spectrum of online registration of lease contracts to include more features of interest to a large portion of the community concerned with the real estate sector in the Kingdom of Bahrain.
He said the circle of users who can benefit from the service has been expanded to enable citizens, residents and Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) States' citizens, companies and governmental entities to use the service which allows landlords/lessors and leaseholders/lessees to process the registration of lease contracts by entering their contractual particulars and also make payment of the registration fees online for residential and commercial purposes.
Online lease contract registration service is available for empty land devoid of service infrastructure, properties ready to use for residential, industrial, commercial, professional, vocational or other purposes with the exception of lands and industrial installations subject to the Decree-by-Law 28/1999 regarding the Creation and Regulation of Industrial Areas.
