The Director of Information Technology at the Ministry of Works, Municipalities Affairs & Urban Planning, Hisham Sater, said 3995 users accessed the ministry’s 10 electronic services during the third quarter of 2015.

He added the total number of users registered from the beginning of the year until September was 14,515 and that the services can be accessed through both the ministry’s portal www.works.gov.bh, and the e-Government Portal www.bahrain.bh.

According to Sater, the ministry has recently upgraded the electronic services on the Ministry’s portal for the purpose of improving those services.

The total number of e-Services launched by the Ministry of Works, in collaboration with the e-Government Authority (EGA), is 10 services; namely: sanitary maintenance request, sanitary connection request, traffic signals request, report road fault, abnormal load permission, contractor pre-qualification, materials testing results, traffic diversion request, the material/product assessment and building maintenance request.

Statistics revealed that August attracted the highest number of users, with 1,516,followed by July with 1,265 users, and September with 1,214 users. The materials testing results service targeted the highest number of users, followed by the report road fault service and the material/product assessment service.
