Deputy Prime Minister also Chairman of the High Communications and Information Technology Committee His Highness Shaikh Mohammed bin Mubarak Al Khalifa on Wednesday received representatives of government ministries and directorates who had contributed in the compilation of the UN e-Government Readiness Report2014.

His Highness presented recognition certifications to members of the committees and teams.

The Kingdom of Bahrain ranked 18th in the world and the first Arab and Middle Eastern country, among advanced countries in the field of e-government services.

His Highness affirmed the continuity of efforts exerted by the relevant bodies each in their domain, pointing out that the Kingdom of Bahrain boasts this great accomplishment, urging for the need to maintain such advanced position and to achieve further accomplishments in future. His Highness praised the efforts of ministries which contributed in increasing the indices monitored by the report: the e-government service index and the telecommunications infrastructures index and the HR capital index as well as the electronic interaction index in which Bahrain recorded advanced positions.

His Highness urged for more cooperation and to start earlier the preparations for the next report especially regarding the new dimensions introduced by the United Nations in in this year's report.
