Minister of Transportation, Engineer Kamal bin Ahmed Mohammed, today in Kuwait, participated in the 3rd GCC e-Government ministerial committee meeting.

Kuwaiti Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs and Chairman of the Central Agency for Information Technology, Sheikh Mohammad Abdullah Al-Mubarak Al-Sabah, chaired the meeting and highlighted technical cooperation and exchange of expertise among GCC countries to develop e-government services.

Bahrain's delegation comprises of e-Government Authority CEO Mohammad Ali Al-Qaed, Director of Electronic Services Ahmed Mohammed Bu-Hazza' and Director of Transportation Minister's Office Salah Joher.

The meeting discussed adopting the e-government guiding strategic initiatives after being approved by the GCC Supreme Council and mechanisms of the development of GCC electronic services in an effort towards providing better services to the Gulf citizens.

It also discussed the GCC Secretariat's memos on organizing the work of GCC e-Government and committees, report of the e-Government's Executive Committee on the development of the Gulf e-Government networking project.

Bahrain's delegation praised the State of Kuwait for hosting the meeting and the joint GCC efforts in line with the directives of GCC leaders for providing better services and greater development achievements to meet the aspirations of the Gulf citizens.

The fourth GCC e-Government conference and prize will be hosted by the Kingdom of Bahrain next year.
