A maintenance requests e-service has been launched by the Housing Ministry in co-operation with the Bahrain e-Government Authority.

The Unit Maintenance Requests, on www.bahrain.bh, is designed to facilitate access of Bahrain citizens, who are beneficiaries of housing schemes, to register maintenance requests.

The initiative comes as part of the 'Bahrain Vision 2030', which aims to build a better quality of life for all Bahrainis, said officials.

"Per day, the ministry receives about 50 maintenance requests from citizens across Bahrain through various channels," said ministry under-secretary Dr Dafer Al Jalahma.

"However, we encourage all citizens to use this new service and others available to them on the National Portal because it helps us to expedite processing procedures and deliver our services quickly and efficiently."

The Unit Maintenance Request e-service gives citizens a new and convenient channel for around-the-clock access to the ministry's services and offers a number of convenient features and benefits, he added.

On filing their requests, users of the e-service will automatically receive an e-mail confirmation with a tracking number to follow up their requests.

"The system also notifies us immediately of any maintenance requests, and simultaneously notifies and deploys the ministry's maintenance teams by SMS," said Dr Al Jalahma.
