As part of their official visit to Singapore, a delegation of Andhra Pradesh ministers explored advanced urban planning practices and sustainable development models, with a focus on building future-ready cities.
During the visit, the ministers toured Morrow Architects, a globally recognized consultancy firm, where they held detailed discussions on cutting-edge city development frameworks and Smart City concepts. The delegation examined how integrated planning, design, and technology are being used to shape modern urban ecosystems.
The ministers also visited MORROW Intelligence (MI), a specialized division that develops next-generation Smart City strategies using artificial intelligence and digital tools. Officials were briefed on how data-driven planning can help cities anticipate future needs and improve efficiency in governance, infrastructure, and public services.
A key highlight of the visit was understanding Singapore’s approach to “Scenario Planning,” which involves forecasting long-term urban challenges and preparing adaptive strategies in advance. The delegation also studied the concept of “Urban Diplomacy,” where major global cities collaborate with international partners to advance economic growth, sustainability, and innovation. Ministers K Atchannaidu, B C Janardhan Reddy, Vangalapudi Anitha, Y Satya Kumar Yadav, and Anagani Satya Prasad participated in the programme.
They assessed how these global best practices could be adapted to Andhra Pradesh, particularly in developing smart, sustainable, and technology-driven urban centres.
