Transforming Government since 2001

A delegation of 42 officials participating in the mid-career training programme for mid-level civil servants from multiple countries in the African region visited Chandigarh's Integrated Command Control Centre (ICCC).

The delegation was given an insightful tour of the ICCC, which serves as the nerve centre for various Smart City initiatives in Chandigarh. During the visit, they witnessed live demonstrations of several citizen-centric services.

The delegation also learned about the integration of various city departments with the ICCC, which facilitates a coordinated approach to managing urban services and resources. The integration of these services into a centralised command platform exemplifies the role of technology in enhancing governance, promoting sustainability, and improving citizens' quality of life.

This visit was part of a broader initiative to foster cross-border collaboration and knowledge exchange in the field of public policy and governance.

The officials were encouraged to explore the potential of adopting similar Smart City solutions to address urban challenges in their own countries.

The visit was organised to showcase the innovative practices and best-in-class systems implemented at the ICCC, with the aim of enabling the visiting officials to adopt similar strategies and technologies in their respective countries.
