Transforming Government since 2001

The Integrated Command and Control Centre (ICCC) managed by the Srinagar Smart City Limited (SSCL) in Srinagar is developing a new online portal which will seek residents’ opinions related to spending of government funds.

The portal is related to municipal services and people can seek information on infrastructure development including new flyovers etc. The portal will be present in the mySrinagar app and Srinagar Smart City Limited website.

“This app will also be useful to corporators. First we will introduce it at the ward level and later at the city level,” said ICCC general manager Shafqat Bashir to reporters as part of the media outreach Programme organised by the Press Information Bureau (PIB) Hyderabad.

“For instance if the corporator says that the drain is the priority and funds should be spent there, but requests in the app are related to a road, elected representatives can give the decision a second thought,” said an official from the ICCC. “There will be more accountability and transparency due to this new addition,” he added.
