The Nagpur Smart and Sustainable City Development Corporation (NSSCDCL) has officially handed over homes to 27 families affected by the Smart City development project in East Nagpur. The ceremony took place on Tuesday, with MLA Krishna Khopde and Smart City CEO Anchal Goyal distributing the new residential units.
The event was attended by Deputy Commissioner of Police Niketan Kadam and former corporators Deepak Vadibhisme and Vaishali Rohanakar.
The homes, part of the "Home Sweet Home" scheme, were allocated to families on a rental basis. Beneficiaries have completed the necessary paperwork and paid stamp duties for their rental agreements.
MLA Khopde praised the Smart City project for transforming East Nagpur, noting that the area has seen significant improvements, including new water facilities, a police station, and a fire station. He thanked the citizens and Smart City officials for their efforts.
CEO Anchal Goyal highlighted the project’s focus on retrofitting and urban development in areas like Pardi, Punapur, Bharatwada, and Bhandewadi. The homes feature amenities such as solar energy systems, water recharge facilities, green building designs, and security features.
Keys and possession documents were handed over to the 27 families, with Public Relations Officer Manish Soni coordinating the event.
