The campaign aims to cover a total population of 71,701 in the three sub-divisions of Chandel, Chakpikarong and Khengjoy where 169 villages exist.
The biometrics enrolment programme, being conducted with the involvement of four teams from MANITRON, is slated to conclude on June 24.
As chief guest of the campaign launch function, Chandel AC MLA Victor Nunghlung Anal called upon the district denizens to ensure registration/recording of relevant details for possessing valid Government documents would prove beneficial in the future.
Sugnu Circle MDC Ngamkholal Baite, SDO (Chandel) Killu Siva kumar and SDPO (chandel) Mangpu Khongsai were also present at the occasion.
