Transforming Government since 2001
The State Cabinet here on Monday decided to set up 400 public service centres. Out of these, 313 service centres will be opened in development blocks and 87 in urban areas. After opening of these centres, citizens will not have to do rounds of Government offices for moving their applications.

These centres will be set up under Private-Public Participation (PPP) mode. Applications for delivery of Government services will be accepted at these centres with fees. The receipts of applications issues by these centres would be deemed to be issued by the designated officer. Selection of private participant for PPP mode, place etc. for running the centre will be made by the District e-governance Society. The software for proper running of these centres is being developed by NIC.

The Cabinet also decided to constitute Madhya Pradesh Pilgrimage and Fair Authority for smooth holding of various cultural and religious fairs at different places in the State. However, this will not include Simhasth Mela held at Ujjain.

The authority will carry out responsibilities of development and preservation of these religious places’ cultural traditions, their proper arrangements, supervision and maintenance. Besides, the authority will also act in connection with arrangements of very famous and important fairs of the State.

It will also manage audio-video programmes for publicising multi-hued specialities of these pilgrimage centres as well as in connection with their telecast on various channels and through call centres.

The Madhya Pradesh Pilgrimage and Fair Authority will constitute a board of members for administrative management and control of the Authority as well as an executive committee. Eleven new posts will be created for meeting the objectives of the Authority and its administrative and office management.

It has come to the notice of the State Government several landless persons who have been occupying dwellings on the plots situated on agricultural lands in the peripheral areas of cities or adjoining them in the State since April 14, 2003, have not received land rights.

Therefore, the State Government decided that rights should be granted on such plots to such landless persons who are living in the dwellings built by them on the lands belonging to private landowners. For this, the cabinet decided the cut-off date of Madhya Pradesh Vas-Sthan Dakhalkhar (Bhumi Swami Adhikaron Ka Pradan Kiya Jana) Adhiniyam 2980 upto December 31, 2011

The Cabinet sanctioned construction of three roads under BoT mode. These include Dhar-Nagda Road measuring 22.500 kilometres for which administrative sanction of Rs 53.71 crore has been accorded.

The concession period of this road for the private investor has been fixed as 27 years and the toll tax on the road will be recovered as per the rates prescribed by the Government. The length of Jabalpur-Patan-Shahpura Road is 38.84 kilometres, which will be built under Toll-Plus-Annuity mode. Sanction of Rs 91.23 crore has been given for it.

The Cabinet decided to change limits of Shahdol division by excluding Dindori district from it and including it in the Jabalpur division and reconstitute Shahdol and Jabalpur divisions.
