The concept of e-governance should reduce delay, Karnataka Bank Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Ananthakrishna said on Saturday.

He was inaugurating a seminar on ‘MCA-21, e-filing and digital signature’ jointly organised by Mangalore branch of SIRC(Southern India Regional Council) of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India, Mangalore branch of SIRC of the Institute of Cost and Works Accountants of India and Kanara Chamber of Commerce and Industry at the conference hall of Karnataka Bank.

Recollecting incidents on how even technology was unreliable he said at some point one must depend upon one’s own ability to comply with the regulations.

“When system changes, there are bound to be apprehensions. I hope this seminar will redress and address the grievances in ‘MCA-21, e-filing and digital signature.”

Chairman of SIRC of ICSI Dattatrraya Joshi presiding over the seminar said a survey had revealed that Indian capital market was an advanced capital market in the world.

Resource persons like V C Davey conducted a session in MCA-21, Assistant Registrar of Companies Sanjeeva spoke on procedure of filing norms, documents and it’s pre-certification in e-form. Sharath Jeppu of Sify Communications limited spoke on digital signature.

Dattatrraya Joshi, chairman of Southern India Regional Council of Institute of Company Secretaries of India, addressing the gathering at a seminar on ‘MCA-21, e-filing and digital signature’ held at the conference hall of Karnataka Bank on Saturday.

Karnataka Bank Chief Executive Officer B Ananthakrishna and Corporation Bank Executive Director K L Gopalkrishna are also seen.
