Information and Technology Minister Kailash Vijayvargiya has said that the State Government would set up a total of 8000 kiosks so as to furnish information regarding various departments, civic bodies, public services, forms and directives of the government. This will generate employment for 16000 people.

The minister instructed setting up of these kiosks according to the advice given by the MLA Sobaran Singh (Babuji). Vijayvargiya was presiding over the meeting of the advisory committee of Information and Technology department held here today.

MLAs Nana Bhau Mohor and Sobaran Singh (Babuji), Principal Secretary Information and Technology Padamveer Singh, Additional Secretary Anurag Shrivastava and officers from the department were also present on the occasion.

The IT minister has informed the members of the committee that a lot of efforts are being made for enhancement of industrial centers and communication devices related to the IT park through encouraging private sectors.

Of this, the infrastructural work for IT Park at Indore has been completed and a well-known multinational company is developing software for it further.

He informed about the exercise put in for the development of an IT Park in Bhopal also. The government has granted permission for the earth station for the same.

Vijayvargiya has informed the National Institute of Smart Governance Hyderabad is designing a blue print road map of the State Government policies for e-governance schemes.

Besides, a portal service of “mponline” is also being figured out. He further informed that following the announcement of State Government’s IT Policy some companies have shown their interests to invest capital in the state and there is planning also for developmental projects of IT. The deliberations are on with these companies in this regard.
