The Digital Ministry is on the road to advancing the country’s digitalisation journey, focusing on strengthening shared foundations to better equip government sectors and industries.
Digital Minister Govind Singh Deo said the strategy emphasises the need for Malaysia’s digital advancement to accelerate competitiveness comparable to other nations.
“The approach underscores a more aggressive and comprehensive stance on digital programmes to ensure the nation keeps pace with global digital trends and developments,” he said during his keynote address during the launching of TM One’s Innovation Lab and Enterprise 5G Lab, located at the state-of-the-art TM Digital Academy in Multimedia University today.
TM One’s Innovation Lab and Enterprise 5G Lab serve as pivotal digital centres fostering collaborative innovation, artificial intelligence (AI)-powered digital solution creation, and industry-specific application development utilising the fast-paced 5G infrastructure.
Gobind said these labs are indispensable in the contemporary digital landscape, acting as crucibles for novel concepts and innovations as they facilitate swift prototyping and advancement of digital services and solutions, enabling businesses to iterate efficiently based on real-time user feedback and practical use cases.
“This marks the first time I am witnessing something that I believe should become more commonplace in the future,” he added.
Both labs aim to fast-track groundbreaking digital solutions for Malaysia’s large enterprises and government sector.
TM group CEO Amar Huzaimi Md Deris highlighted the significance of these labs in driving collaboration and propelling key areas like Enterprise 5G and Smart Services with AI.
