Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak has put forward recommendations towards reducing public sector expenditure. Minister Ahmad Shabery has said that in order to realise the recommendations, his ministry will leverage ICT to convey and implement government policies to the target group rapidly and accurately.
He added that with technology, the government will no longer need to incur high expenses on traditional means of interacting with its agencies and citizens.
Together with the Malaysian Administrative Modernisation and Management Planning Unit, the Communications Ministry will also propose and coordinate the use of ICT in a wider manner in other ministries.
