Traffic offenders can now pay summonses with their credit card through the Internet.

Federal Traffic Chief Senior Asst Comm II Koh Hong Sun said Singaporean motorists could also log into three Internet sites to settle their summonses online. They are www.rilek.com.my, www.eservice.com.my and www.myeg.com.my.

The websites, set up in April, were part of the e-Government managed by the Malaysian Administrative Modernisation and Management Planning, he said yesterday.

He added that there was a service charge imposed on those using the service.

“We are also negotiating with other companies like Telekom Malaysia, Post Malaysia and Bank Simpanan Nasional to enable motorists to settle their summonses over the counters,” SAC II Koh said.
