Deputy Chief Minister Tan Sri Dr George Chan said it ranked number one out of the portals of 13 states and scored 88 points out of the maximum of 100.
"A total of 1,145 government portals and websites nationwide were assessed this year by the Multimedia Development Corporation (MDeC). The Sarawak electronic government portal is ranked number one followed by Johor and Selangor.
"I'm proud of what has been done by the ICT Unit of the Chief Minister's Office for continuously improving the portal and winning the award.
"Hopefully, our portal will remain among the best in the country in future," he told reporters, here, Thursday.
The ranking was based on five factors, namely citizen interaction, citizen insight generation, citizen services, citizen support and content management.
Dr Chan said the state would put more effort to promote and improve its winning portal as a one-stop government services gateway for the public.
"To enhance the portal, Iban language will be added next year," he said.
