The nation’s largest eGovernment firm, NIC (NASDAQ: EGOV), today announced it has secured contract extensions to continue managing the official government Web sites for Idaho (www.idaho.gov), Arkansas (www.Arkansas.gov), Oklahoma (www.OK.gov), and South Carolina (www.sc.gov). Each of these states use the NIC self-funded solution to provide eGovernment services at no upfront cost to citizens and businesses. NIC has never lost a contract renewal or competitive rebid for a current state enterprise portal.

Idaho
Idaho has awarded NIC a new three-year contract with renewal options through April 2015. NIC originally signed the contract with Idaho in 1999 and has launched more than 80 interactive eGovernment services. Idaho.gov securely processed more than 1.8 million eGovernment transactions and nearly $128 million in payments in 2007.
Arkansas
Arkansas awarded NIC with a two-year contract renewal. The agreement extends the contract until June 30, 2010. NIC signed the original contract with Arkansas in 1997. Arkansas.gov (www.Arkansas.gov) delivers more than 500 applications, including: criminal background checks, commercial driver alcohol and drug testing repository, business tax filings, and county property tax payments.
Oklahoma
Oklahoma awarded NIC with a one-year contract renewal. The agreement extends the contract until June 30, 2009. NIC signed the original contract with Oklahoma in 2001. OK.gov (www.OK.gov) processed more than 2.1 million secure payment transactions online during 2007 and delivers more than 240 eGovernment services to Oklahomans including: State Financial Transparency Public Search, 19 Professional License Renewal Systems, Reverse Auction System and Unclaimed Property Search for the State Treasurer’s Office, Municipal Court Reporting for Public Safety, and an Enterprise Content Management System enabling more than 65 state agencies and local governments to manage their own Web sites.
South Carolina
South Carolina awarded NIC with a one-year contract renewal. The agreement extends the contract until July 15, 2009. NIC signed the original contract with South Carolina in 2005. SC.Gov (www.sc.gov) has developed 118 applications since the start of the contract. Some of those include: Hunting and Fishing Licenses Sales for the Department of Natural Resources, Campaign Finance Reporting for the Ethics Commission, Spending Transparency for the Comptroller General’s Office, and an Enterprise Payment Engine which enables e-commerce for several State Agencies and Local Governments within South Carolina.
