The Association of Friends of Santillana del Mar y Bisalia have created the first ever internet-based guide to the architectural wonders of the town, located in Cantabria in northern Spain.
Details of monuments including historical data are included with visual and audio files. Comments about the monuments and write-ups by well known authors and poets are included.
The Department of Culture and Tourism of the Cantabrian Government has financed the project. The department of the small state of Cantabrian was judged the best promoter of tourism in Spain at the FITUR 2003 tourism fair held earlier in the year.
