The Danish Digitisation Board said that in 2015, authorities sent 88.9 million electronic letters to members of the public and organisations. This was a rise from 47.9 million in 2014 and a 218 percent increase from 2013. It said that nine out of ten people in Denmark now have a Digital Post universal e-mail address.
The target for 2016 is that 80 percent of official letters should go via e-mail. The board said that in 2015, there were more than 32 million visits to the borger.dk e-government website. A total of 95 percent of pension applications were made digitally.
