The pilot initiative, a collaboration between the Terengganu government and Colla Connecting Edge Sdn Bhd, forms part of the Smart Digital Infrastructure agenda under the Terengganu Smart City Blueprint 2040.
State Digital Economy, New Income, Trade, Industry and Green Technology Committee chairman Mohd Nurkhuzaini Ab Rahman said the project aligns with the state’s aspiration to position Terengganu as a green technology hub and a sustainable smart city.
The state government is making investments in digital infrastructure its main focus, with an eye on increasing productivity and improving administrative and service efficiency, said state executive councillor for infrastructure and agriculture Dato’ Izham Hashim.
He emphasised that a strong digital infrastructure forms an important foundation to drive the digitalisation agenda and smart city development for the people’s benefit.
