Organizing Web content to better serve citizens may be an arduous task for some agency officials as they tackle content organization and management responsibilities, but it's something they must do, experts say.
At an industry day event last week in Washington, D.C., officials presented their visions for common e-government solutions in the financial management, grants management and human relations business lines. The administration is leaving details of the solutions up to the vendors.
"It has just become part of the marketplace," said Michael Cerra, senior legislative analyst for the state League of Municipalities. "And people can expect that from government too."
