  • Sachsen: Kommunen und Freistaat vereinbaren gemeinsames Portal

    Der Freistaat Sachsen und die sächsischen Kommunen werden ein gemeinsames Landesportal im Internet aufbauen. Dabei wird das „Kommunale Datennetz“ (KDN) als eigenständiges Subnetz zum InfoHighway (IHL) des Landes Sachsen existieren. Beide Netze werden von der T-Systems betrieben. Die gemeinsame Nutzung der Netztopologie und der personellen Ressourcen für zentrale IP-Dienste schafft erhebliche Synergien.

  • Schleswig-Holstein: Lauenburgischer Kreistag votiert für "Kooperation statt Kreisfusion"

    Der Lauenburgische Kreistag hat sich gegen eine von oben aufgezwungene Gebietsreform und gegen Großkreise ausgesprochen. Zugleich brachten die vier Fraktionen eine Verwaltungskooperation mit Stormarn und Segeberg auf den Weg.

    Ziel ist eine möglichst weitgehende Zusammenarbeit, um die drei Kreisverwaltungen noch leistungsfähiger zu machen, ohne die Bürgernähe zu opfern. Um das zu erreichen, hat der Kreistag einen Antrag der CDU zur Kooperation mit Stormarn und Segeberg ohne Gegenstimmen angenommen. FDP und Grüne votierten mit der Union, die SPD-Fraktion enthielt sich.

  • Schleswig-Holsteins Innenminister für engere Kooperation mit Hamburg

    Schleswig-Holsteins Innenminister Ralf Stegner hat sich am Donnerstag für eine engere Zusammenarbeit mit Hamburg ausgesprochen. "Die Gartenzäune müssen abgerissen werden", sagte er. Stegner forderte Hamburg auf, dass Konzept der "Wachsenden Stadt" in eine Politik der "Wachsenden Metropolregion Hamburg" zu ändern.

    Die Krankenkassenprämien steigen auch nächstes Jahr um mehr als fünf Prozent. Ein guter Teil der Gesundheitskosten fällt in den Spitälern an – und dies nicht nur, weil zu viele Eingriffe verordnet und durchgeführt werden: Mit kostensparender Zusammenarbeit hapert's im Schweizer Spitalwesen, und das gilt gerade auch für die IT. Nur dort, wo statt Konkurrenzdenken, Polit-Games und Festhalten an der bisherigen Arbeitsweise sachbezogenes Teamwork herrscht, führen Kooperationsprojekte zum Erfolg.

  • SG: IDA International to collaborate with Mongolia on eGovt projects

    The Government of Mongolia and Singapore strengthened their collaborative relationship on Tuesday with the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between IDA International and the Information, Communications Technology and Post Authority of the Government of Mongolia (ICTPA).

    The MOU defines the framework within which both organisations can explore opportunities to collaborate on Infocomm Technology (ICT) activities and projects related to eGovernment, said the IDA International in a statement on Tuesday.

  • Singapore and South Korea Collaborate on E-Government

    To promote cooperation in the field of infocomm technology between the Republic of Singapore and the Republic of Korea, the two countries signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) today on e-Government cooperation. The MOU seeks to increase opportunities for e-Government collaboration between Singapore and South Korea.

    Elevating bilateral relations between the two countries up a step, the MOU was sealed today by Mr Kim Seang-Tae, President, National Information Society Agency, Republic of Korea and RADM(NS) Ronnie Tay, Chief Executive Officer, Infocomm Development Authority of Singapore.

  • Singapore, Mongolia to work on ICT projects

    Singapore and Mongolia have strengthened their relationship, with an agreement to work on Infocomm Technology (ICT) activities and projects to help transform Mongolia into a knowledge-based society.

    They'll collaborate in public service infocomm and eGovernment over the next three years.

    These include ICT projects, such as enterprise architecture, cloud computing and project management.

    11 STORK participating European countries launch pilots to offer secure eID cross-border

    STORK, a project co-funded by the EU ICT Policy Support Programme under the Competitiveness and Innovation Framework Programme (CIP), implements a EU-wide platform for interoperability of electronic identities (eIDs) and announces today that six pilots: ‘Cross border Authentication for Electronic Services’; ‘SaferChat’; ‘Student Mobility’; ‘Cross Border eDelivery’; ‘Change of Address’ and ‘Commission Services’ are now available for public access. This platform enables citizens to use their national eIDs for eGovernment services in several European countries. The six pilots now officially launched will gradually be enhanced and will prove and test the integration into existing real live portal services of the underlying STORK interoperability platform.

  • South Africa: Boost for provincial e-govt

    The Finnish government has signed a deal with SA that will see it donate 12 million euros (R136 million) to SA in ICT development aid over a three-year period.

    The deal, signed by SA's communications minister Ivy Matsepe-Casaburri and Finland's minister counsellor Marjaana Sall, in Pretoria yesterday, is in support of the SA Provincial Information Society Strategy programme.

    The initiative aims to accelerate social and economic development through ICT, says the Department of Communications.

  • South Korea and Singapore sign e-government pact

    Two of Asia’s biggest exporters of e-government systems, South Korea and Singapore, have struck a deal to share ideas and lessons learned on e-government service delivery and strategy. The memorandum of understanding (MOU), signed yesterday (June 16th 2010), will see the two countries collaborate on e-government projects and support each other through workshops and events.

    “South Korea and Singapore both share a common goal of delivering ever better services to citizens and businesses in its own country,” said RADM(NS) Ronnie Tay, Chief Executive Officer, Infocomm Development Authority of Singapore. “We hope that such a collaboration will allow both countries to tap on each other’s expertise and experiences to propel e-Government service developments to an even higher level.”

  • South Korea signs E-Govt MOU with East Africa

    Seoul Metropolitan Government Mayor Oh Se-hoon has signed a memorandum of understanding to increase mutual cooperation in e-government technology and other areas of interest with East African Community (EAC) Secretary General Richard Sezibera.

    The EAC, which consists of the republics of Kenya, Uganda, Rwanda and Burundi and Tanzania, was formed to promote regional cooperation and development.

    Sunyoung Jung, Assistant of Seoul Government CIO Dr. Jong-Sung Hwang, told FutureGov, “Together, the EAC and Seoul Metropolitan Government shall strive to work together to enhance e-government for development, establish and strengthen the Information Management Services in the EAC organs, institutions and other relevant institutions in the partner states, with the aim of achieving a paperless EAC, work together to support the development and deployment of key e-government applications, and build ICT Institutional Capacity for the EAC.”

    Korea will help Vietnam establish a state information and technology center, the Ministry of Public Administration and Security announced Sunday.

    The two countries have started a feasibility study for the Vietnamese Government Information Data Center (GIDC) to determine whether or not one would be practical in the Southeast Asian country.

    Syria and Lebanon discussed on Monday the necessary mechanisms for implementing a unified strategy for regional and international communications networking, in addition to evaluating the current state of networking and exchanging expertise.

    During the meeting of the Syrian-Lebanese Communications Committee, Syrian Minister of Communications and Technology Imad Sabouni underlined the importance of exchanging ideas, coordinating and implementing a joint strategy to improve communications services in light of the rapid developments in this field.

  • Telmin adopts Asean ICT Masterplan 2015

    The 10th Asean Telecommunications and Information Technology Ministers Meeting (Telmin) yesterday adopted and launched the Asean ICT Masterplan 2015 (AIM 2015).

    A symbolic launching ceremony was held at the Royal Chulan Hotel here where all the 10 Asean ministers or their representatives, were invited to place their right palms on a panel dubbed “the circle of solidarity” which have each country’s flag, witnessed by about 500 guests.

    The ministers later received the AIM 2015, titled “We’re Stronger When We’re Connected” from Malaysian Information Communication and Culture Minister Datuk Seri Dr Rais Yatim.

    Mit der "Regionalen Internetplattform - Netzwerk virtueller Rathäuser/Landratsämter in Ostthüringen" startet die gestern in Gera gegründete Kommunale Arbeitsgemeinschaft ein erstes wichtiges Projekt. Daran beteiligen sich die Städte Gera, Jena, Altenburg und der Landkreis Altenburger Land, die sich zur Städtekette zusammenschließen.
