Für 150.000 Euro bekam ein Bieter den Zuschlag. Ein anderes Highlight war ein Mercedes-Benz 600 aus den 60er Jahren, der einst zum Fuhrpark des sowjetischen Staatsmanns Leonid Breschnew (1906-1982) gehörte. Einem Liebhaber war er 103 600 Euro wert. Doch nicht nur Kuriositäten kommen hier unter den Hammer.

As a result of this new legislative package which partly amends Finland's Act on Public Procurement of 03 March 2007, the competitive procurement of public contracts for the provision of goods, services and works will be handled increasingly by electronic means.

The North Wales Procurement Partnership (NWPP), which aims to deliver substantial benefit through increased levels of collaborative procurement, initially began working with Denbighshire and Flintshire County Councils in 2009, running eight auction events consisting of 135 different lots. Collectively, they saved £ 602 000 (approx. € 704 000)*. Subsequently, four other Authorities in North Wales (Conwy, Wrexham, Gwynedd and Isle of Anglesey) followed suit. 27 auction events consisting of 529 lots delivered savings of over £ 2.2 million (approx. € 2.5 million)*.

Mr Rovlias introduced eAuction as one of the stages of public procurement via electronic means. According to the presentation, eAuctions only apply when the specifications of bids can be determined by a completely accurate method. eAuctions provide the opportunity for cost improvement, as well as improvement in other aspects of the tenders, but only if these aspects are suitable for automatic evaluation electronically. They must be measurable, so as to be expressed in figures or percentages.

Describing e-governance an effective tool to ensure transparency in the functioning of government departments particularly those dealing with construction, procurement and purchases, Chief Minister, Omar Abdullah Saturday put the J&K Projects Construction Corporation (JKPCC) on e-tendering portal.

“The Chief Minister launched Rs 700 lakh Magloor-Bakhtar Bridge over Ternah Nallah in district Kathua on e-tendering process at a meeting of the corporation,” an official statement said.

Deputy Prime Minister and Education Minister Pongthep Thepkanjana revealed last week that the government had decided to organise four e-auctions on the same day because the purchase involve a large number of devices. The government also encouraged both Thai and foreign companies to participate in the auctions.

The purchase is for the nationwide roll out of the world’s largest education IT to give away tablets to every first grade students and seventh grade students under the government campaign promise of ‘One Tablet Per Child’ policy following this year’s distribution of nearly 900,000 units given to first graders nationwide.

The 12 eAuctions (electronic reverse auctions) were organised and sponsored by Buying Solutions on behalf of public sector organisations as part of a recent initiative to drive eAuction capability across the public sector.

Swansea Council in collaboration with neighbouring Neath Port Talbot has saved the authorities £650,000 over the next five years after securing just one contract via e-Auction.

Swansea's Cabinet meeting endorsed the securing of a contract with a company from Llanelli for tinned and dried foods that will be worth about £1.3m a year.

In addition, the OGC has established an online facility dedicated to e-auctions, which will include on-line forums and access to best practice guidance. The site will be continually developed and enhanced based on user feedback and requirement, and will include regular updates on upcoming e-auctions.

A number of public sector bodies have clubbed together to shave millions off the cost of their IT hardware.

Six NHS trusts and 14 councils used an e-procurement auction to find the cheapest suppliers for their tech kit, cutting almost £7m off a bill which could have cost £13.7m, according to non-auction benchmarks.
