Capital Trust Group Limited, a significant investment management firm, has announced its involvement in the Thai Canal Project, a groundbreaking initiative that is set to transform the country’s economic landscape. The project involves linking the Gulf of Thailand and the Andaman Sea via the Kra Isthmus in southern Thailand, potentially and drastically reducing travel times as well as streamlining the heavily trafficked trade routes.

The government of Thailand wants two telecoms operators, TOT and CAT Telecom, to upgrade their data centres as part of a national data centre project.

TOT and CAT would be given the responsibility of storing sensitive and important data for state agencies, according to Sak Segkhoonthod, president and CEO of Thailand’s Electronic Government Agency (EGA).

The Digital Economy and Society (DE) Ministry yesterday rolled out the first phase of the national broadband network across 99 villages in 14 provinces, with the introduction of commercial, affordable high-speed internet service planned by year-end.

In each village, a WiFi hotspot will enable internet access free of charge.

Within the next five years, more than 80 per cent of government offices will use e-documents for identification in the country.

Die Gebühr für diesen Service beträgt 12,80 Euro, ist damit nicht höher wie bei einer persönlichen oder telefonischen Reservierung und ist erst bei der Zulassung neben der Bearbeitungsgebühr zu zahlen.
