Transforming Government since 2001
The City of Pleasanton has unveiled a slate of new services which allow the development community to manage Building Permits online and by phone for better public access to building and permitting activities.

Using the new Citizen Access online portal, citizens and businesses can schedule inspections, check the status of a permit or inspection, or check for property information directly from the Internet, 24-hours a day, seven days a week. A Voice Permits system allows customers to schedule, re-schedule, and listen to inspection results from any touch-tone phone.

“Increasing citizen access to government services is an important goal for the City of Pleasanton, and this new service delivers an easy and convenient way for us to expand our e government services,” says Brian Dolan, Director of the Community Development Department. “This also increases the efficiency level of city service by better maximizing staff resources to focus on more complex applications,” he adds.

The new Citizen Access system is powered by software from Accela, Inc. of San Ramon, CA. The new Voice Permits telephone system is powered by software from Selectron Technologies of Tigard, OR.
