"A Personally Controlled Electronic Hallows you, and medical professionals authorised by you, to access health details, such as any current medications, allergies, immunisation status and health conditions," Sunshine Coast Medicare Local CEO, Ian Landreth said.
"In an emergency, all this information is accessible, and stored securely in a single place.
"Sunshine Coast Medicare Local has had a fantastic uptake of Personally Controlled eHealth Records, especially the new Child eHealth Records that have just been announced.
"Our team will be providing assisted registrations at the Sunshine Coast Agricultural Show at Nambour on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, and we encourage all Sunshine Coast residents to come along and sign up in only five minutes on the day."
Sunshine Coast Medicare Local's stall will also include colouring-in activities for kids, balloons, flu-season giveaways, information about after hours GP services, information about immunization, information about healthy, active living, and sexual health resources from Family Planning Queensland.
