Transforming Government since 2001
ISchool Zambia and Prisons Care and Counselling Association (PRISCA) have partnered to promote e-learning in private schools.

The partnership will enable ISchool Zambia sell ZeduPad tablets to 150 private schools under PRISCA at a reduced rate.

PRISCA chairman George Ngwenya said e-learning in private schools should be promoted as it supports Government’s introduction of information communication technology studies programmes in schools.

Speaking at the partnership cocktail launch in Lusaka on Thursday, Mr Ngwenya said the ZeduPad will give an opportunity to pupils to learn away from class.

Let us give our parents an opportunity to be involved in the full learning of their children while they are at home,” he said.

Mr Ngwenya also noted that teachers will be equipped with lesson plan preparation skills. Additionally, ISchool Zambia managing director Mark Bennett explained that the ZeduPad has 5000 interactive lessons for pupils.

Mr Bennett also said his organisation has managed to introduce e-learning to schools in rural areas.

He further said Ischool Zambia has introduced literacy and numeracy features on the ZeduPad to improve adult illiteracy, especially in rural areas.

“I’m encouraging all private schools to buy the ZeduPad in order to supplement Government’s effort to have a cadre of pupils who have ICT skills,” Mr Bennett said.
