Located in Tulln, the project will be completed by 2023

In Tulln, Lower Austria, the opening ceremony for the ground-breaking project “House of Digitisation” took place on Monday, 10 May 2021. The "House of Digitisation " is a component of Lower Austria's digitisation strategy.

The first part of the project is an interactive platform with personalised services that would allow businesses to connect. The building that is being constructed will allow the continuation of this networking between Lower Austrian companies with research and educational institutions and it will also become a meeting place for people interested in digital technology.

The project will cost 33 million euros and should be completed by the spring of 2023 at the latest.

Only 30 minutes away from Vienna

The House of Digitisation is being developed in collaboration with the business agency Ecoplus and the FH Wiener Neustadt technical college real estate company. Tulln needs to work on its mobility concept before then, in the opinion of Mayor Peter Eisenschenk (VP), since the House of Digitisation is located only 30 minutes away from Vienna. Tulln, also known as the Garden City, should be promoted as a "Green Smart City."

Governor Johanna Mikl-Leitner (ÖVP) is already aware of how the project will look: “The main uses include an entrance area, a restaurant area, office units and incubator areas, as well as the heart of the building, a showroom. Annual exhibitions are shown there that are available to the entire population."

The completed building will also have 4,200 square metres of space for “Austria's biggest, almost 360-degree LED screen,” which will be about 330 square metres. It is Europe's third-largest LED wall. Large enterprises, the Wiener Neustadt University of Applied Sciences, and service institutions will be based here in the future to assist small and medium-sized businesses with their digital transformation.

In addition to the general population, these should mainly be Lower Austrian small and medium-sized businesses that come together in the House of Digitisation and are to be helped in the digital transition. There are plans for office units, incubator zones, and lecture halls.
