Since June 1, 2018, the e-visa entry in Ethiopia is accessible to all nationalities and opens to business travel.
The e-visa policy in Ethiopia regards all types of professional visas since 1 June 2018.
All business travelers can apply for the visa online for different types of travel: e-Business Visa; e-Conference Visa; e-Work Visa; e-Government Employee Visa; e-Journalist Visa; e-International Organizations / Embassy Employee Visa; e-Short-Term Stay Visa with a Government Institution.
As a reminder, the electronic visa issuance system already allows, since September 2017, business travelers (MICE) to obtain a conference/meeting/incentive e-Visa.
The Ethiopian e-Visa is obtained within a maximum announced period of three working days, its validity begins on the date indicated in the application (and not from its date of issue), it must be paid online on the Ethiopian government portal and its cost depends on the validity and type of visa desired.
