The State Insurance Supervision Service under the Azerbaijani Ministry of Finance will integrate its website into a portal of e-government by the end of this year. This was announced to reporters on Wednesday by the head of the agency Namig Khalilov.
He said work is nearing completion.
According to Khalilov, the Ministry of Finance already provides electronic services in the insurance field.
Through the block of e-services, primary and final applications for the licence for insurance and reinsurance, the insurance agent and insurance brokerage activities can be submitted as well as a perpetual license for insurance and reinsurance can be requested through the ministry's website.
According to Khalilov, these services will be integrated into the website of the service in the short run.
Some 28 insurance companies are currently operating in Azerbaijan.
