Finance Ministry’s source says that the document has already submitted to the Cabinet Ministers. The document was signed by State Adviser on Economic Issues Vahid Akhundov.
Kamal Gurbanov, the head of the Central Bank’s Department of Payment Systems and Settlements, says that the new program implies expansion of use of advanced e-payment services.
"Increasing opportunities for access of the population and businesses to e-payment services, as well as integration of public and commercial structures with e-payment services requires complex measures. Therefore, the Central Bank of Azerbaijan has decided to prepare the Program to expand infrastructure opportunities for provision and use of e-services; strengthen institutional framework of e-payments; increase effective use of e-services; inform about e-services and attract the population and economic entities to use e-services," Gurbanova said.
